About that enhanced bonus pic: I know the comic’s turned more serious since the Dracomage/Brian gave Bree “that ridiculous BE dress.” I still get a kick out of it. Although, looking back, you can see it being early foreshadowing that the DM was angry at her for leaving and didn’t even realize he was really trying to talk the player into staying through his DMPC, but only sabotaging himself.
Correct. Bree and Co, killed all the other lizardmen followers of Draxxorel the Devourer, but had sort of befriend Tuul, aka Drakon cultist 237. This was previous to Miko’s appearance. Sephni actually used her immortality collar ability to save/resurrect him several times, something again Miko seemed to have forgotten. As a member of the Devourer’s death cult, he wanted to die anyway, before realizing death can equal pain beforehand. Miko, however, has a sort of ‘holier than thou’ attitude, without ever fully understanding what was actually going on.
I really like the new, more realistic, art style, and of Sephni especially. However – and I know this will upset some – I think Miko is a pain in the ass with her sense of moral superiority, much of which is based on ignorance of what Sephni has been through being possessed by the Devourer and tortured by his minions. Has anyone told her Bree and Co killed off all Tuul’s buddies in a pretty bloody massacre? As a member of a death cult, he wanted to die anyway. Sephni only did what he asked. So, no, personally I don’t like Miko much, she’s a bit of a prig. Wait until she meets Imugi! She’s much more of a ‘monster’!
Fun to see Bree and Sephni’s boobies (especially the latter) struggling to stay within their dress top. Already too long since Bree last flashed her nipples!
Hopefully, we can move on soon, and leave Miko sulking in the High Elf palace kitchen, having only the occasional tantrum. Still a few other ‘loose ends’ to pick up, and characters who are more fun.
Just me, or Sephni was actually taunting Miko into killing her… by stating what makes her to WANT to be killed? As in, she actually hates herself (and to a self-destructive deegre) for NOT feeling guilt?
Bree, Brian, dudes, go fetch a psychiatrist from our world, they fucking NEED one on the Delve world.
We’ve already seen some of the phobias in Brian’s head (fears of spiders, rejection, death, perhaps darker elements if Draxx was part his creation. Jen had her issues, as she revealed in her debate with Mala when contested for the crown. We’ve also had glimpses of Sark’s issues, seeing him as a young boy, and he seemed to have mixed parental issues, over his (make-believe?) Orc dad and now his own little child. Miko had issues over her past, and now people dying on her. Sephni went through hell and back, how many times did she die, so quite likely she feels both guilt and weariness, will it ever end? Bree and Paige have sibling issues, mostly Paige as Bree would bugger off leaving her to sort out the mess. Warmheart definitely has issues, witness her reaction to seeing Brian as the DM. The girls and creatures at DM Towers are having issues with the absence of ‘the boss’, the original DM – wait to see what they might make of the new Brian/DM. Kel had issues, and Moonblade, but we’ve yet to catch up with them now. Imgugi, of course, she definitely needed a session or ten with a psychiatrist. Who does that leave who doesn’t have hang-up? Perhaps the Valryn girls, Teal, Finch maybe now he’s bonking Paige, Jane, when we see her, seems the only one with her head screwed on right compared to her brother and his boyfriend. So, only one psychiatrist? The poor guy would soon himself need a psychiatrist!
Yeah, that’s why I said they DO need a shrink or two. People takes modern mental health knowledge for granted.
Hee, hee. You should read my last book. Oh, wait, you can’t (because I won’t dox myself and this is not a plug, just a plot comparison). TL;DR: late middle ages, historical novel, MC is a sword master (literal: teaches sword) who low key suffers from acute PTSD since early childhood and “has no fear with a sword in hand” (read: flight reflex supressed, NOT a good thing). Doesn’t matter. What matters is:
Would you believe, that of the people who has commented it, nobody with no mental health background did catch the obvious signs, but EVERY person with that background has pointed out “Erana, your MC would have needed of my services like a LOT?”
Well, I guess the people on the Delve are in a similar situation.
Considering the brutal, nightmarish, innumerable deaths Sephni has been subject to, it’s amazing that she is in any way rational. It’s no surprise that she can’t ‘feel’ anything, keeping her emotions locked away is probably the only way she can function without going absolutely batshit crazy. Is Miko aware of the horrors that Sephni has been put through? I kinda think not because Miko seems to be a fairly empathic person.
Miko doesn’t even know (or want to know) what Tuul went through, why would she care about Seph (or the reasons she attempted to eat Tuul)?
Miko was always jealous of Seph when it came to Tuul

There’s no such thing as immortal…
Actually, there are true immortals that cannot die but that doesn’t mean you have to kill them in order to stop them.
I stand uncorrected.
Immortality can only be determined in retrospect.
What did she do?
She killed the lizardman death cultist if I recall correctly. Unsure… but I think only Miko cared about him in any significant way.

No, she ate him (per his desire) after Mindfucker killed him
So, what is Sephni, exactly?

Complete Agrecian with you regarding Miko and her holier than thou attitude, specially concerning Tuul
Does that mean you actually agree with me about Miko? It must be Christmas! 🙂
Have we had a disagreement regarding Miko in the past?
About Miko? No. About other characters? Um…. 🙂
I don’t know. Don’t you think their breasts are getting a little TOO big? I thought men preferred petite and perky now.
As with almost everything else, everyone has their own likes and dislikes, preferences change with the person.
@poydras: not in my experience
What until Miko finds out everyone already knows, and doesn’t care
