At least this time her hair wasn’t on fire so she could concentrate on bubbling her self, unlike the last guy to bubble the partner before bubbling himself which caused him to splat.
Alas, poor Kestrel, we knew him…sort of well…
It wasn’t the hair on fire that was the problem, it was some sort of thorny rope or something
In both cases, this or that, caster saves the other person first, unlike in planes crashes where the priority is to mask yourself first
Looking back, more a sort of rope-like fire thing that burnt off their robes. Personally, I wouldn’t have made a connection to being in an aeroplane emergency….but still….whatever.

you are aware they are upside down in 3rd panel. Which reverses things to your perspective. that’s still her left eye.
Could be a slip of the artist’s pen. Stuff happens, as they say.

Great album by the way. Delve the musical indeed! Good mix of country, funk and musical numbers. Really catchy tracks.
She’s fast! One falls and accelerates at 32 feet per second, per second. Looks like she bubbled Markho within a second and herself in under two.
Also, s = (a*t^2)/2. Not a lot of time to do stuff, though in some circumstances a second can be a long time.
Oh yeah, when the adrenaline kicks in, one’sreactions and mind go into overdrive and time, for the individual, seems to slow down. I’ve experienced this phenomenon several times, weird.
There is a character in “Grrlpower” whose powers are just that: you drop a glass of water, and he can watch it fall, slowly, and still catch it before it hits the ground
