Yes, while our Red Fang gal doesn’t say much, she is obviously apt to be a bit impulsive. Bree would have negotiated first, before going into attack mode. That said, Aspasia sort of surprised us all (Markho especially – his expression in panel 5) by the finger-gun stunt. Pity it only annoyed the Black Devil rather than disabling it.
So, I’m still puzzling over who – or what – the Black Devil is. He/she/it knows Bree, so that implies someone from Delve 1.0. Rather slow on the uptake, which reminds me of the DM, but I’m still thinking a reincarnated Nefice, the Naga, who we last saw in episode 169 being turned into a stone statue. She certainly would still have issues with Bree. Paraxyss, on the other hand, went over to the Nogrog’s side. Whoever, Aspasia’s shoot first, think maybe much later, wasn’t a wise choice. There goes the bridge, and looks like Markho is stuck with her, whether he likes it or not! Happy landings! Oops!
Agree, I think the DM (thanks to Teal) has gone to pastures new, and had, eventually, no issue with Bree. So, my Nefice theory stands, unless anyone can think of anyone else from Delve 1.0 who knew and might have issues to want to ‘trap’ Bree, but is still dim-witted enough to not recognize our Red Fang girl isn’t Bree straightway – doh!
Dude. Let’s leave aside that I take ofence, and take a look first at HOW LONG he’s been around Bree. Do you REALLY think he thinks females are cowardly an worthless in a fight? Seriously, dude.
Plus, he is a pro, and kows her to be also a pro. He may be surprised by her combat readyness, but pros usually do NOT lose their cool and flee screaming at the first sign of toruble.
TWO reasons why Markho (who BTW seems to be a nice shining example of classical, non-toxic, masculinity – unlike others) doesn’t expect her to just “run cowardly screaming ike a girlie”, dude.
He still expected her to run, he just wanted her to wait until he told her to
You were the one to bring up toxic masculinity and screaming (and it’s not cowardly to flee when facing an unknown threat that has been terrorizing the area)
At least it’s not Naruto (please tell me, when she runs, she swings her arms like a normal person, not a moron)
AquaDork’s half-brother had an excuse: he had never run before, only swam
The “arms near the body, body tilted, feet just shuffling quickly instead of doing long strides” is NOT being a moron. It’s the traditional Japanese way of running. No, seriously. I learned it waaaay back in the days before Internet (or Naruto) exited 😀
Also it works WORSE for raw speed than the traditional way of the rest of the world, and that’s why modrn athletes do NOT use it – but that’s another matter.
Ace Aoshima made a vid explaining how it works that you might find interesting. Let’s see how long thispost-including-a-link takes to appear 😉
Don’t shoot the evil wizard thing. You’ll just piss him off.
Shoulda went for the head.
Who says she didn’t?
She missed, either way
She messed what she was aiming at, not the fake DM
Ooo. Got ourself a mage this dive into the delve…
And Markho is coming along.
No weapons needed and no panties required either.
Panties probably interefer with redfang magic. I can totally see that.
And there goes the bridge, at least its not burned up or rotted, but now we can say it the new delve has begun.
My only wish is that they fall into something soft
Slime probably. Where is Teal?
Greyside
Looks like overconfidence is recurring redfang problem….
yep

Old One referred to Devil as “she”. So highly likely its not DM

Markho is a male, he probably was expecting her to run before he told her run

so, you did NOT realice hiw insulting you were being? How… disappointing. Too late, now.
That explains why she wasn’t worried about having no weapons: she is a weapon
OK, Magic Girl, got a spell for this situation?
…Hopefully she has feather fall ready.
QUAD ROCKET JUMP, GO!!!
Man, her and Thor, always going for the shoulder!
Nice buns!😁
I feel like I should be able to read those hand signs like they were ASL, but am too out of practice to recognize them

Arms aren’t near the body, they are sticking straight out the back
On a long enough timeline, death isn’t an option, it is mandatory.
And I was thinking her dress wasn’t short enough. Nice ‘shot’! Heheh.
