Return of the Queen
As foretold in the comment section, Brian arrives on the scene at last.
In other news, please check out this week’s Bonus Art for a sneak peek at a possible addition to the Delve cast. I figured the best way to overcome my anxiety about the end of the “Where’s Sephni?” story arc was to look ahead to a possible future storyline.
So, I worked up a design for a potential character that we haven’t met before, though she does have a connection to a previous character in the story, and I was hoping to get your feedback on the “Moon Mage” design. I decided to actually think like a real artist this time and try to simplify her design, since we’re liable to be seeing a lot more of her in the future if I decide to go with that story idea.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!
Oh, I also had a few minutes to add some more neglected characters to the “Characters” page and fix a few more broken links. Please let me know of which characters that are sill missing that you’d like to see added yet.

He has arrived!
I love second panel! Its so… living
New character design is good. Through dress is questionable short, and it will take an explanation why she decides to wear it. She isnt shadow elf, isnt she?
I just love how the snug giant spider silk outfit that Draco Mage donated to Bree’s wardrobe is not as resistant as Bree’s own skin is. XD
Otherwise, how does Bree know that Brian guy? Oh, well… reveal moment, I guess.
Bree dont. Jen does
Yeah, we saw that coming, I guess.
No, the Dracomage outfit didn’t survive the teleport device from the Drakon temple to the Devourer site. This latest outfit seems to have been in the wardrobe at the Wood Elf palace, but is rather similar to the outfit the Naga Nefice gave Bree way, way back about episode 16, but which also didn’t for long.
Fair enough. The elves of these days don’t make apparel as they used to,
Has everyone forgot that Bree (the rogue wood-elf princess as she was, and a D&D character) is now also Jen, Brian’s ex-girlfriend, fellow D&D player who (it would seem from what Mandy said) died in a car accident, but they are now together, Jen in Bree’s body? Hence the dual reaction, Bree: “Seph…” and Jen’s reaction: “BRIAN!?”
That’s the High Elf throne gone, but in panel two it looks like Capria is a bystander casualty – one arm and fingers – oops! The next episode is going to be….interesting times!
For Sephni, healer required! Paige is too far away. Warmheart, maybe? After all she has been through, I hope so. The Dracomage’s gloves? Less likely.
Lots of loose ends to follow, the saga has plenty of mileage yet, guys! Even without this mysterious new character – yes, a shadow-elf? But her sword has the crescent moons on it! Is she good or bad?
Meantime, Teal is still in Brian’s ‘Graysider’ world. Sark is now chief of the Orc clans. There is still a treasure gold-loving dragon somewhere. And what about the Sword-girls? To say nothing of Prancy, Jane and Phawkes.
Warmie is a dragon, and no, not all dragons are healers, certainly not the Red variety
New character is a Moon Elf, not Shadow
When did Sark become the OverChief? More importantly, when was he crowned?
Link to Moonblade? Kindall used Moon Elves as his mercenary guards, they accompanied him to the Spider’s lair, where it would appear Moonblade belonged to one of the murdered guards, maybe the blonde, but it always seemed to me Moonblade wouldn’t have been owned by just some common ordinary bodyguard, surely someone of more importance, after all Moonblade liked to think itself/herself superior to a ‘common thief’. Moonblade’s history is only hinted at, vaguely, a thousand kills, superior to other, more inferior, swords… Perhaps another ‘lost’ or misappropriated sword, like the Mindripper’s dagger? Mystery girl maybe her true owner, giving us a link back to the sword-girls?
In good, well-written stories it is not always necessary or expedient to spell everything out. The implication to me is that Cherek had killed all the other clan chieftains before fighting Sark. Ergo, Sark (thanks to Cherek) is the last one left, hence he can unite the Orc tribes. I don’t think Orcs in this world have kings or crowns, besides which, did you actually see Kindall get crowned? But he still assumed kingship. Again, neither author nor reader need to shine a torch into every dark corner of the plot. Delve has often assumed things have happened outside of what we, the readers, see.
Fighters always feel they are superior to thieves, whether they are Royal Guards or common mercs 😛
Yes, good point about Sark
But, what’s this about a gold-loving dragon? All dragons love gold
Go back to Bree and Betrys, and Bree’s parting promise to her. Even at the time it sounded a bit dull, yawn, another dragon….But I think Bree likes to get Betrys stroked up. However, with the appearance of Brian into the Delve universe, all bets (ha, ha, unintended pun) are off as to what happens next. We seemed to have hints that Betrys is perhaps from the same place as the Mindripper and Kel, all being bramblings.
Looking back to Sark’s story, the title being fight for was Orc ‘Warlord’, which hardly fits Sark’s rather soft, easy-going nature. Peace-Lord, more like.
Oh right: the reason Betty was out in the wild
Warmie can pull from her hoard at will. I asume she’s got a load of potions
Capria is going to be pissed when she wakes up and discovers she lost an arm while stoned.
in re: TWC vote incentive. If you’re thinking about a new character that’s a pirate, you also need to think about a new character that is a ninja.
You saying Imugi isn’t a ninja?
i really like “breen” reaction to Brian’s fall on stage 😉 is that the arm of the “stone sephnie” ? if not, Capria will not be happy :s and what about Imugi ? how will she react at his explanation of this world around them ? i hope she will be able to cope and will now the real sephnie not the doppel made in her image.
I’m going by the the sleeve pattern on the arm of the stone-frozen Capria in panel one is the same as the broken arm (and looks like fingers) in panel two. We don’t see any fragments of the stone Sephni in panel one. Confusing! I still wonder if Sephni “wished” all her subjects be turned to stone to ‘save’ them from Draxx lusting and/or devouring them, but then was Sephni herself always (since being fitted with the immortality collar) Draxx’s dungeon plaything? The stone people in the High Elf palace being given flesh and blood bodies again could be messy with body parts. How Imugi reacts is the million dollar question. She is the one completely out of step with the Delve world ‘reality’.
https://delvecomic.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/episode683.jpg here is the page that has both Sephni and Capria showing forearms. I do believe you are correct as to whom that arm belonged to.
Damn! I hope there are ways to fix Capria, I was hoping to see her back in 1 piece.
Well… Thats Caprica shattered
Moon mage looks good BTW. I love the hair style
