Dracomage

Brian and Warmheart get a little too close for comfort.
In the Vote Incentive art this week, we get a look at the third and final new design for a potential upcoming storyline. This one has the most complicated costume yet which makes me wince just to think about keeping track of all the designs and colors, but, I figure if I am actually going to continue working on this comic in the years ahead, the time has come to get a little more serious about some things about it that have been bugging me for a long time, like costume design and background art.
Let me know what you think of her. The gemlings are a race I’ve only ever mentioned in the “Carry This!” book before, if any of you are fans of those characters.

Mr. Hunter, you spending so much time on costume design… We all know that costumes in Delve wont last more than few pages 🙂
Dracomage superpowers come handy, I guess.
Bree picks now of all times to get modest and hold up her sliced top? Funny what stress does to thinking and what runs through the mind in the middle of a crisis.
Well, that’s because that’s her ex
Dramatic page! We are (for now) left to assume Brian’s new powers as Dungeon Master, as seen in the green eyes thing in panel 3, has stopped Warmheart’s attack. Poor Brian, can things get worse? Hopefully Bree/Jen (who, yes, suddenly displays a touch of modesty) can sort things out, Meantime, there’s poor Sephni turning grey on the floor. Oh, and Imugi, take note if you fancied attacking one of the ‘game controllers’.
As for the new characters, the comment (above) about clothes is a valid one, unless it only only applies to elves and Orcs. Imugi’s outfit has certainly seen better days. Not sure where, or how, or when, these new character get to interact with a future Delve world. I still see story strands we (hopefully, Bree) can pursue. The background art had certainly stepped up recently, evolving through the blue dragon arc, but especially so in the Brian/High Elf palace arc we’re currently in. That is good, but the story and characters always matter first. Brian as DM rather complicate things, especially with Bree/Jen, but maybe that will be resolved over the coming weeks. I’m still concerned for Teal, and naturally we miss Prancy and Phawkes out there on the fringe. Likewise, what will happen with Paige (and Finch) back in the Wood Elf Kingdom? I loved the Bree/Paige sister dynamics between those two! The key to Delve over the years has been its continuity….And Bree, of course. Hopefully, she remains essential to any future story development.
A foot closer and his hands would be in the wrong (or right) positions
