Quick! Step on him!
This reminds me of a short horror story I read decades ago, where this guy finds this nice looking coat in the street or a back alley, and puts it on. It fits perfectly. He then pats down the coat for anything left in the pockets, feels nothing except for the right (or left) outside pocket. He sticks his hand in to see what it is…
…and all these teeth sink themselves into his hand. The coat is actually a monster and the pocket is it’s mouth.
The guy tries to get his hand out but can’t. Then he feels the mouth start to chew on his hand and tries to suck more of his hand in. He resists but can’t prevent the mouth from climbing up his arm, very, very slowly. There is noone else around for him to call for help.
The story has a bad ending.
Mimic boots? Interesting.
While I imagine this will be the classic mimic behavior of making thus girl a meal, imagine them taking control of her in a parasitic manner.
This is why you always identify something before putting it on. ESPECIALLY in D&D games (I swear GMs are all Sadistic Bastards).
Specially belts and rings
Bonus 565? Agains?
Yeah, I messed up the count. I fixed it in the archives, but I didn’t have it in me to go back and change it everywhere.
