I said in previous page that I vaguely expected that maybe, after 10 years, Bree had a daughter (a half-orc one?) but that, considering how elves age, she would be a baby or toddler only.
Now I followed up with this new young woman being an “adoptive daughter” in terms of delving the delve, which is the leit motif of this comic, isn’t it?
Yes, intriguing as it might have been for Bree to have had children, especially a daughter, from her known relationship with Stark (who has form), or even Markho, it might have put the brakes on any future adventures or situations – she couldn’t just off-load a baby to sister Paige like she did her queenship! Neither Bree nor Jennifer seemed the ‘mumsy’ sort. If there are any babies to be had, maybe Imugi and Brian? But a ‘Daughter of Bree’ future saga is always a possible future concept, I guess.
I’m all for a half-orc daughter of Bree coming of age maybe in a hundred years. How fast do elf-orc mixlings age in this lore?! She would be a cool main character.
Thanks for reminding me that Bree ceded the throne to her sister. I presume then that she’s called “Queen” as in “Queen Emeritus”, right?
Wait, when did Breen abdicate the throne? Thought she simply left Paige as regent while she went off to find out what happened to Seph…
If Breen abdicated, then she wouldn’t even be a Princess (just look at what happened to Queen Liz’ uncle when he went colonial with that Wallace woman)
On abdication Edward was officially styled HRH The Prince Edward, he actually used the style HRH The Duke of Windsor, which was officially granted by letters patent on 27 March 1937. The peerage takes precedence, so that is what is used.
On abdication as Queen of the Netherlands in 2013 Beatrix reverted to HRH Princess Beatrix, as had her mother Juliana and grandmother Wilhelmina.
On the other hand Juan Carlos of Spain and Albert II of Belgium are still styled as king after abdication.
Part of me is waiting for that comment to be an intentionally misleading distraction and now they have taken their eyes off her she’s disappeared somewhere.
The other part expects to discover that Sephni has sent her because she has other valuable skills Bree will need.
OK, maybe not the tall girl we thought, but cute, and Red Fang….Hm, I suspect Bree’s initial response is not to be impressed. Speaking of which, Bree’s in new fashion mode, smart, and she never much liked bras, did she? As I suspected, her first promise (to the “old friend”) was to Kel, to clean up her homeland (episode 480), and this, Bree is delegating her promise to Betrys, re the dragon and gold. I guess Promise 1 took longer to achieve, or Bree just got side-tracked enjoying her more sapphic side with the bunny girl thing! Hm, would quite like to see those together, you know, in more intimate mode! Given Aspasia has only one eye and came 32nd in class (yes, of how many?) let’s hope she has more hidden skills to offer, otherwise she’s soon going to get her clothes ripped off by some dungeon monster.
Yeah, the elven forest had just recently been burned, so the soil was still good, many trees were still there and could probably be encouraged to revive and sprout fresh vegetation… But Delwyn had supposedly been fully poluted and stripped up or over farmed for resources. There was likely no recent vegetation ready to resprout, the soil was probably devoid of nutrients and likely poisoned with chemicals and mine debris. Gonna take them a little longer to fix that.
However it does mean the reborn blade girls should be at least 10 years old by now. Depending on how fast their various species age they might even be considered adults by now.
Andrew, good save here – you moved a decade to the future the hunt for the dragon, NOT because Bree forgot, NOT because the bramblings have been a decade under its claws – but because the dragon flee when he saw Bree, an dragonslaying avatar, coming for blood. Now THAT is somebthing completly in character for everyone.
Now, I hope you don’t mind that I’ve actually placed an IRL bounty on Morgana’s head, don’t you? 😀
Also, note on the new background – I strongly suggest you keep he good practice of writting the comic number down in the corner. It makes many things MUCH easier.
Ha, ha, Erana, love it! Yes, I agree, Andy, please reinstate the Book 2 episode numbers.
Can I double that bounty on Morgana? Bree didn’t like her. I didn’t like her. Moonblade and the gals didn’t like her. Even the other ‘immortals’ or gods, or whatever they were, didn’t much like her.
We’re still finding out. Red Fang were were High Elves assassins. She has been sent to help Bree out by Sephni, High Elf Queen. Remember Bree (given above are their formal names) is Wood Elf Queen, but has delegated her younger sister Paige as Regent. Hopefully the next episode will explain more.
I am finding this unusual. Clearly it is within elven magic capabilities to regrow sensual organs like eyes and ears. Thus either keeping eye unhealed is either form of punishment, test by superiors, or eye is covered for different reason, like substantial yet unesthetical upgrade.
…from the bottom, right? Right?
…how many other students were in your class anyhow?
31 that the instructor coul see
… because the professor never saw you attend classes, right?
Ah, a man of culture…
He said you used trickery, did you?
Yes I rather thought that was the point.
“I lost my eye while failing a stealth-check…” ^__^”
Almost as I pictured it: just that Bree’s daughter is only so in “adoptive” terms and that elves may age doubly fast than I expected.
32nd is fine in a class of 33: you weren’t the worst one, you were the one who survived.
… What daughter?

*Sark.

Erratum: “Queen Emerita”, Latin demands gender agreement and “queen” is femenine even in English.

Bree looking like that really what we’re working with?
And Betrys being like yeah, it was short notice.
“Thirty-second out of how many?” was the question that leapt to mind, but she has only one eye, so her depth perception is probably zilch.
32nd out of how many exactly…
Part of me is waiting for that comment to be an intentionally misleading distraction and now they have taken their eyes off her she’s disappeared somewhere.

142nd fastest gun…in the west.
141 were faster than he, but Irving was gunning for 143.

It took ten years because, even with pixie-magic, it’s not easy to recover from that much damage to the environment

OK, I’m going to try to keep up this time so who is this girl with the eye patch supposed to be?

She’s perfectly qualified

Or… personal choice
