Yes, measurements of time in the Delve world….Bree/Jen remarked Orcs live comparative short lives, elves live longer, dragons thousands of years. Way, way back, naga Nefice put a rune on Bree that would expire and kill her in the time scale of a ‘molt’. Neither Bree, nor we, the reader, ever discovered how long was a ‘molt’! Five minutes sounds a lot less generous. It may be a more British ‘five minutes’, not so much literal as a short, but actually unspecified period of time, maybe up to, say, 15 minutes. Hopefully time enough for Brian, who is rapidly getting to be quite the smooth-tongued diplomat.
I’m not sure that conservation laws, like conservation of momentum or energy or angular momentum or any other of those physicy things are all that relevant in the Delve. Perhaps it gives them a bit of respect to make the story play out, but if needed, then it ignores them.
Impressed at the increasingly more ‘realistic’ art style. Quite early on, Delve artwork became more superior to much of the other on-going comic stories around, but, especially from the blue dragon story arc, even more so. Now it has upped another couple of gears. Meantime, the current story plays out, in real time just minutes – we have yet to get into the more explanatory stuff – Bree actually confronting Brian, Brian discovering Bree and Jen are now one and the same, perhaps Brian’s story of his conflict with Draxxorel, Brian telling Bree about the DM and Teal – that’s presumably before acknowledging the Imugi or Warmheart situations Brian, in his role of DM has to deal with. Bree/Jen’s expression in panel one is interesting. Maybe not as exciting as Bree and Imugi fighting or getting naked, but equally as interesting in story and character development.
Better than nothing. 8I
Nice catch. Warmheart is a pleasant armful.
How does she measure “minutes” underground without a clock?
She counts to 300?
OK, I used to do that when I was a kid. Or probably I did it once only: quite boring.

Bree’s all “Who’s harem fantasy is this, anyway? That’s MY pet dragon girl he’s having a moment with!”
A DM’s most powerful weapon: his words
Okay, so Lunging Dragon retained her momentum? Otherwise she would have simply dropped straight down
But Brian – hero that he is! – caught her in time! He’s making a habit of cuddling these Delve world females.
Except, there is no indicator that he moved forward, he was just still in the same position he was when she started her lunge
Once you allow for the existence of magic, anything goes.

Two other things that set him apart from the former DM: he talks about her having both choices and the freedom to do something about said choices
Three things: he also is allowing her the time to think (he also probably has had, or knows of the location to, a comfy chair 😛 )
Yup, Brian has become a good guy in spite of himself

My recommendation, after he catches her and she says, “5 minutes “?
He kisses her, briefly.
C’mon, folks. She’s on the cute side.
